Light steel framing is commonly grouped by application, including ceiling and partition products. Profile shapes such as C, U, T and L describe geometry; they do not, by themselves, describe a complete system.
Tee grids. Main and cross members form a grid for a suspended ceiling layout. Module sizes, connections, suspension details and the selected infill should be coordinated.
Ceiling channels. Formed channels are used in ceiling framing arrangements with other supporting components. Their dimensions and connection details should follow the approved design.
