Start with the application. A ceiling and a partition use different framing arrangements. Identify the complete assembly and the role of each profile before comparing individual products.
Make the specification clear. Cross-section, dimensions, steel thickness and surface finish all matter. Compare like-for-like specifications and confirm the units used in drawings and quotations.
Check compatibility. Profiles, connectors, boards or tiles and fixing methods need to work together. A product photograph alone does not establish suitability for a particular span or load.
Prepare your enquiry. Include drawings or section details, quantities and the delivery destination. Ask for the relevant product information and supporting evidence required by your project designer.
